Cliche Quest: Not quite 2

Cliche Quest is a project that I've been procrastinating on for well over a decade. Probably closer to a couple decades. In 2014, I released Cliche Quest as an episodic RPG with 5 episodes planned on Steam Workshop. It was highly rated, 3000+ combined downloads and a youtuber even did a hilarious Let's Play of it as a whole series of videos.

And then work, life, etc. got in the way of things. I've been serving in the military for over 20 years now and am getting ready to retire. Over the years, I've had continual requests from people wanting to know when the game would be finished. Well, now it's time. With the covid19 (aka coronavirus) outbreak, I've been teleworking and have had some extra time off and I got inspired to start working on Cliche Quest again. This time, I want to go commercial and I'm making all the art, music, the everything myself, apart from the aid of some scripts, which I've personally modified.

Yes, Cliche Quest is a RPG Maker game and I know the stigma that comes with that. But there have also been many top selling commercial successes. I don't personally expect to become one of those breakout successes. A little extra cash to recuperate the time I've spent on this would be nice though but I'm not trying to make the cover of any magazines.

I don't plan on kickstarting this. It's mostly costing me time. What I've spent on software is negligible. I'll cough up the cash for the Steamworks fee myself as well. I'm currently working towards putting out a playable demo. If anyone is interesting in becoming a tester, check out the dev/test group link on the main game page.
